I can tell that we are getting close now, and we have been very lucky on this adventure. Despite finding water our food supply was depleting rapidly, and we still had not come across any natives. Luckily, we reached the pueblo of Teypana before all hope was lost. These natives were kind, and fed us. They instructed me to call their settlement Socorro, the Spanish word for “help.”
After that encounter we continued on. With our food replenished and the Rio del Bravo at our feet we were good to last for the rest of the journey. After this point we came across more settlements, which I claimed for my monarch. I know we will arrive to our destination soon, but I fear that the natives to this area will not take kindly to me conquering their land.
